NITI Aayog, SCISP agree on providing momentum to India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership

NITI Aayog and Saudi Centre for International Strategic Partnerships (SCISP) have agreed to provide continuing momentum to the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership.

A high-level delegation, led by NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant was on 2-day trip (17-18 Feb 2019) to Saudi Arabia to explore the opportunities of investment, trade and business.

Invest India Grid was also launched in Saudi Arabia during the visit.

Yemen's govt, Houthi rebels agree on mutual pullback of forces from Hodeidah

Yemen’s government and Houthi rebels have agreed on the first phase of a withdrawal from the key city of Hodeidah, in a deal the United Nations described as important progress.

Yemen backed by Saudi Arabia and Houthi rebels backed by Iran is at war since last 4 years. Yemen is facing a manmade famine condition and UN is trying to broker a peace deal to continue its humanitarian activities.

Chris Gayle announces retirement from One-day Internationals

West Indian batsman Chris Gayle has announced that he will retire from One-day Internationals after the forthcoming World Cup. 

The 39-year old left-hander has scored 9,727 ODI runs, second only to the legendary Brian Lara among West Indians in 284 matches.
