ITALY LAUNCHED FIRST MEGA FOOD PARK IN GUJARAT

Italy has launched its 1st-ever mega food park project in the Gujarat state of India. The pilot project named “The Mega Food Park” was launched at Fanidhar Mega Food Park, in Gujarat.

STARTUP INDIA SEED FUND SCHEME LAUNCHED

Piyush Goyal, Union Minister launched the Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS). The Fund plans to give monetary help to startups for proof of concept, product trials, prototype development, market entry, and commercialization. The government has passed Rs. 945 Crore corpus for the fund.

INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR MONUMENTS AND SITES DAY OBSERVED

Each year, on 18 April, the International Day for Monuments and Sites (World Heritage Day) is observed to advance mindfulness about the diversity of cultural heritage of humanity, their vulnerability and the efforts required for their protection and preservation.

GOVERNMENT OF NAGALAND TO ESTABLISH ABHIJIT SINHA COMMITTEE

The government of Nagaland has decided to establish a joint consultative committee (JCC) called Abhijit Sinha Committee. This committee involves all traditional tribal bodies and civil society organisations. The JCC will be headed by Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha.

SUPPORT CENTRE FOR ADITYA-L1

ARIES facility (Aryabhata Research Institute for Observational Sciences) will host the support centre for Aditya-L1 mission, which is due to be launched next year (2022).

Aditya-L1 Mission is India’s first scientific expedition to study the Sun. It will be ISRO’s(Indian Space Research Organisation) second space-based astronomy mission after AstroSat, which was launched in 2015.

DHRUV MK III: ADVANCED LIGHT HELICOPTER COMMISSIONED

Recently, the first unit of the indigenously built ALH (Advanced Light Helicopter) Dhruv Mk III aircraft, was commissioned into the Indian Navy. It is a twin engine, multi-role, multi-mission new generation helicopter in the 5.5 ton weight class.
