DPIIT LAUNCHES REGULATORY COMPLIANCE PORTAL

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE PORTAL has been launched by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). It is the 1st central online repository portal for all state and central level compliances. It will act as a bridge between the industries, citizens and the government in decreasing burdensome compliances.

GUJARAT ANNOUNCES ‘MUKHYAMANTRI BAGAYAT VIKAS MISSION'

The Chief Minister of Gujarat announced the “Mukhyamantri Bagayat Vikas Mission” also known as the “Horticulture Development Mission”. The objective of the mission is to double the income of the farmers who practise horticulture and medicinal farming. Under the mission, the wasteland of the State Government of Gujarat will be provided on a 30-year lease for farming medicinal and horticulture crops.

QUANTUM COMPUTING APPLICATIONS LAB ESTABLISHED IN INDIA

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) will establish a Quantum Computing Applications Lab in India, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). It will be established to enhance quantum computing-led research and development and allow new scientific discoveries.

SC UPHOLDS IBC’S SECTION 32A

The Supreme Court recently upheld the validity of Section 32 A of the IBC. The SC held that the successful bidders for a corporate debtor under the IBC would be immune from any investigations being conducted either by any investigating agencies such as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) or other statutory bodies such as SEBI.

DRDO SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTS CAPTIVE AND RELEASE TRIAL OF SAAW

The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) test-fired the SAAW (Smart Anti Airfield Weapon) from Hawk aircraft successfully. SAAW is the 1st smart weapon fired from an Indian Hawk.

SAAW has been developed by the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO). It has the capacity to hit the targets with precision up to a range of 100 kilometres. It is designed to destroy targets such as runways, bunkers, reinforced structures and aircraft hangers.

QUESTION HOUR TO RESUME DURING BUDGET SESSION

Question Hour, which had been suspended by the government during the monsoon session, will resume when Parliament meets for the budget session.

The first hour of every parliamentary sitting is slotted for the Question Hour. However, in 2014, the Question Hour was shifted in the Rajya Sabha from 11 am to 12 noon. During this one hour, Members of Parliament (MPs) ask questions to ministers and hold them accountable for the functioning of their ministries.

INDIA SENDS 1 MILLION DOSES OF COVID VACCINE TO NEPAL AS GIFT UNDER 'VACCINE MAITRI' INITIATIVE

India sent 1 million doses of a COVID vaccine to Nepal as a gift under the 'Vaccine Maitri' Initiative. India will supply Made-in-India Covid-19 vaccines to its neighboring and key partner countries Under its Neighborhood First policy. Bhutan and Maldives will be the first to get the vaccines followed by Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar and Seychelles.
