‘ATMANIRBHAR KRISHAK SAMANVIT VIKAS YOJNA’ LAUNCHED

The state government of Uttar Pradesh has launched the ‘Atmanirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojna’. The main objective of the scheme is to improve the income of the farmers to improve their living conditions.

WORLD THINKING DAY OBSERVED ON 22ND FEBRUARY

The World Thinking Day is observed annually on 22 February. It is celebrated by the Girl Scouts and Guides in over 150 countries throughout the globe. The theme of World Thinking Day 2021 is ‘Peacebuilding’.

DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION OF AYODHYA CONFERRED WITH THE SKOCH GOLD AWARD

The district administration of Ayodhya has been conferred with the Skoch Gold Award for the measures taken to restrict the spread of COVID-19.

CHANDIGARH TO LAUNCH A MECHANISM TO ASSESS THE CARBON FOOTPRINT OF AN INDIVIDUAL

The Union Territory of Chandigarh has become the first in India to launch a mechanism to assess the carbon footprint of an individual. Chandigarh has launched ‘Carbon Watch’ which is a mobile application to determine the carbon footprint of a person.

Carbon footprint is the amount of greenhouse gases-especially carbon dioxide-released into the atmosphere by particular human activity.

HOSHANGABAD WILL BE RENAMED ‘NARMADAPURAM’

The city of Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh will be renamed ‘Narmadapuram’, the state government will send a proposal to the union government in this regard. The city of Hoshangabad was named after Hoshang Shah.

PUNJAB IMPLEMENTED OF MISSION ‘LAL LAKIR’

The state government of Punjab has started the implementation of Mission ‘Lal Lakir’. Under the project, villagers living within the ‘Lal Lakir’ which stands for the part of village habitation that is used for non-agriculture purposes, will be enabled to monetize their property rights. Properties under the ‘Lal Lakir’ comprise areas of common gatherings, streets, ponds, etc.

President Ram Nath Kovind today inaugurated the newly constructed world’s largest Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium at Motera in Ahmedabad. The Narendra Modi Stadium, previously known as the Motera Stadium, is a cricket stadium situated inside Sardar Patel Sports Enclave in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
