The United States Space Force has launched a High Frequency advanced satellite

The United States Space Force has launched a hyper-secure satellite for the purpose of military communications. This is the first national security mission by the United States Space Force. The Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite by Lockheed Martin was launched. AEHF-6 is the final satellite in the AEHF segment and will provide jam-proof communications.

RBI has given a moratorium of 3 months for term loans

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has declared a moratorium of 3 months on repayment of term loans which are outstanding on 1 March 2020, will be allowed by all banks and Non-Banking Financial Companies (NBFCs). The EMI repayments will be resumed only after the end of the moratorium period.

IMF has launched a Policy tracker of various government policies in response to COVID19

The International Monetary Fund has launched a policy tracker to monitor the steps various governments have taken to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The IMF Policy tracker will aid the countries to become well informed from the experiences of other countries in fighting coronavirus spread all nations to tackle the crisis more effectively.

Mo Jeeban Programme launched by Government of Odisha

The Odisha Government has launched the “Mo Jeeban” Programme which literally translates to “My life” in a bid to restraint the spread of Coronavirus. The programme raises awareness about washing hands for at least 20 seconds and urges the working population to take oath in the name of their children and parents to not step out and cooperate with the government.

The Government has banned the export of the Antimalarial drug Hydroxychloroquine

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has declared the Antimalarial Drug Hydroxychloroquine as a Schedule H1 Drug. This puts restrictions on the sale and distribution of the drug. The drug has been put under restrictions to treat the emergency arising out of the COVID19 pandemic.

World Theatre Day observed on 27 March

The World Theatre Day is observed on 27 March every year and enables the theatre communities to promote their work on a large scale which will help them get their due recognition and make the world know about the various art forms that exist.

The World Theatre Day was started in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute (ITI)and is celebrated across the world by ITI centres and International Theatre Communities.

COVID-19 Rehabilitation and Relief Fund has been set up by CII

The Confederation of Indian Industries has set up a fund to assist rehabilitation of micro, small and medium enterprises. The fund will be raised with the help of members of the confederation.
