INDIA AND CHINA ANNOUNCED TO ESTABLISH A HOTLINE

India and China announced that they have agreed to establish a Hotline. The decision between the 2 countries was taken over a telephonic meeting between India’s External Affairs Minister and China’s Foreign Affairs Minister. The hotline is a direct telephone line in constant readiness to facilitate immediate communication.

CURRENCY AND FINANCE (RCF) REPORT RELEASED

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released a Currency and Finance (RCF) report for the year 2020-21. RBI has said that the current inflation target band (4% +/-2%) is appropriate for the next 5 years.

NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY CELEBRATED

Each year, the National Science Day is celebrated on 28 February in India. It is celebrated to spread the message about the importance of science in the daily life of the people.

ISRO successfully launches Brazil's Amazonia 1 satellite, along with 18 other passenger satellites

India successfully launched  Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle-C51 (PSLV-C51) rocket loaded with 19 satellites from Brazil, USA and India. India's first space mission for 2021 is one of the longest for a PSLV rocket which concluded in an hour, 55 minutes and 7 seconds into its flight.

Brazil's 637 kilogram Amazonia 1 satellite is the optical earth observation satellite of National Institute for Space Research (INPE).

SHRI RAM NATH KOVIND VISITED INS UTKROSH

The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind, visiting Andaman and Nicobar Islands from February 26 to March 1, 2021. Shri Ram Nath Kovind visited INS Utkrosh and reviewed a 150 men Tri-Service Guard of Honour by personnel of Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC).
