INTERNATIONAL JAZZ DAY: 30 APRIL

Every year, International Jazz Day is celebrated on 30 April. 

AYUSHMAN BHARAT DIWAS: APRIL 30

Ayushman Bharat Diwas is observed on April 30. The day aims to promote affordable medical facilities in remote areas of the country based on the Socio-Economic Caste Census database.

 

In 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Ayushman Bharat Scheme to provide healthcare benefits to crores of Indians who can't afford proper medical facilities.

INDIA’S FIRST 3D PRINTED HOUSE AT IIT-M

First 3D printed house in India at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) inaugurated. It was constructed by Tvasta Manufacturing Solutions, a startup founded by IIT Madras alumni. This technology enables building a 3D printed house in 5 days.

IMMUNISATION AGENDA 2030 LAUNCHED

The United Nations and agencies like WHO, UNICEF have launched the Immunisation Agenda 2030 (IA2030) during the World Immunisation Week. It is based on learnings from the Global Vaccine Action Plan (GVAP). It aims to address the unmet targets of the GVAP. It provides a strong foundation for the global immunisation strategy in the decade 2021-2030.

FIRST INDIGENOUS VACCINE FOR FISH DEVELOPED

Recently, the Central Institute of Brackish Aquaculture, Chennai developed an indigenous vaccine for Viral Nervous Necrosis. The new vaccine, Nodavac-R, developed by Central Institute of Brackish Aquaculture can be injected to fingerlings.

Viral Nervous Necrosis. viral disease which affects many marine, brackishwater and freshwater fishes,  results in 100% mortality in larval and early juvenile stages. The disease is caused by nervous necrosis virus (NNV).

CHINA’S PERMANENT SPACE STATION

China launched the core module of its Space Station. Module named : Tianhe", or "Harmony of the Heavens".

China’s multi-module Tiangong station is set to be operational for at least 10 years.

GOVERNMENT OF NCT OF DELHI (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2021

Government of National Capital Territory (GNCT) of Delhi (Amendment) Act, 2021 came into force. Now “government” in the National Capital Territory of Delhi means the Lieutenant-Governor of Delhi. It gives discretionary powers to the L-G. It bars the Assembly or its committees from making rules.
