Facebook and CBSE collaborate for the launch of free training program students

The social media giant, Facebook has collaborated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for the launch of a free and all-round training program for students and teachers for the schools affiliated with CBSE.

Key Points:

  • The first phase of the program will be launched from August 2020 to November 2020 in the virtual format.
  • Under the program, the training of teachers on augmented reality will be held along with the training of students on digital well being and online safety.
  • The training program will be held for three weeks and will be attended by ten thousand teachers and students each.
  • The process for registration of the training program will be initiated from 6 July 2020 to 20 July 2020.
  • The training program for the students will be launched on 6 August 2020, and the training of teachers will be started on 10 August 2020.
  • A joint e- the certificate will be given by CBSE and Facebook to the participants who complete the course successfully.
  • CBSE will introduce the training program on augmented reality and digital safety in the second phase for thirty thousand students in the various groups. Under the programs, teachers and students will be nominated by the schools for the training programs.
