FIRST E-VEHICLE CHARGING STATION IN SOUTH DELHI BY TCIL

Context:

On 20 January 2022, Telecommunications Consultants India (TCIL), a Mini Ratna Category-1 Status Company, launched the first e-vehicle charging station in the South Delhi area at South Extn.

Key Points:

• This e-vehicle charging station is the first in a series of 65 electronic charging stations set up by TCIL continuously over the next four months in the South Delhi area, where Delhi residents have easy access.
• At a time, each charging station will be able to charge at least 6 two/three/four-wheelers.
• Charging stations are equipped with CCTV surveillance and Wi-fi location for use by the general public. 
• A 6 kW solar panel also powers it.
• The e-vehicle charging station will help increase e-car use and reduce pollution in the metropolitan area of ​​Delhi.

Telecommunications Consultants India:
