GATE 2016: 30th and 31st January Paper Analysis

Dear Aspirants,

GATE 2016 paper was conducted successfully on 30th & 31st January 2016 for ME & EC disciplines. The question paper in the morning & forenoon session was of standard difficulty level. However a few 2 marks questions were very difficult when compared to the questions asked last year.

Given below is the brief paper analysis for GATE- ME & EC paper. Candidates who have their paper on the coming Saturday and Sunday are requested to go through it and revise the important topics mentioned.

Major topics for Mechanical Engineering

  • Fluid Mechanics, Manufacturing Technology & Thermodynamic 
  • Theory of Machines & Engineering Mechanics
  • Strength of Materials & Industrial Engineering & Heat Transfer

Major topics for Electronics & Communication Engineering

  • Electronics Devices & Circuits, Communications, Analog & Digital Electronics
  • Networks, Electromagnetic theory, Signal & Control Systems

GATE 2016 will also be held on 6th & 7th Feb,2016. Those of you who have their test scheduled on the mentioned dates have a bit of an upper hand in figuring out how their test paper will look like. So make the best use of it and revise the important topics mentioned above.
