India’s First Privately-Run Bharat Gaurav Train

Context: India’s first privately-run Bharat Gaurav train started between Coimbatore North to Sainagar Shirdi.

Key Points: 

• India’s first privately-run Bharat Gaurav train will run between Coimbatore North to Sainagar Shirdi at 18:00 hours on 14th June 2022. The train will have stoppages at Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Yelahanka, Dharmavaram, Mantralayam Road and Wadi.  
• South Star Rail operates India’s first privately-run Bharat Gaurav. The Coimbatore-based entity is a registered company of the group — Future Gaming & Hotel Services Pvt Ltd. The service provider has paid Rs 1 crore as a security deposit to Southern Railway for the rake with a composition of 20 coaches. 
• The trains under the scheme have one first AC coach, three 2 Tier AC coaches, eight 3-tier coaches, and five sleeper class coaches.
• There will also be a doctor on board to attend to emergencies, private security engaged, and the Railway Police Force.
• The interiors of the coaches are refurbished by the South Star Rail. All the coaches will have round-the-clock cleaning staff and a whole team of service professionals to offer passengers a wholesome experience.
