Ashok Gehlot, The Chief Minister of Rajasthan launched an information portal under the Rajasthan Innovation Vision (RAJIV) at B.M Birla auditorium. It is set up initially to provide information about 13 departments of the Rajasthan Government. This portal is designed to ease the information to the public under Right to Information Act. Further it will provide quick information, they don’t have to go undergo the process under RTI act. CM said that it will bring transparency and accountability, and empower the right of the people to seek information. Deputy CM Sachin Pilot claimed that Rajasthan would become the first state in the country to provide information about a dozen departments on a single platform.
Gehlot said the state government had started the RAJIV campaign to commemorate the 75th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
