Nine authorized laboratories testing and certifying Proto-type PPE Coveralls

India is manufacturing the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Coveralls keeping in view the importance of safety and well being of the health professionals.

Key Points:

  • According to the technical specifications given by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Nine (9) authorized laboratories are testing and certifying the proto-type test samples of PPE Coveralls.
  • The standards of the test are in conformity with the guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the COVID19 pandemic. They are tested as per the specifications of ISO 16603 Class 3 and above for ‘Synthetic Blood Penetration Resistance Test’.
  • To provide complete protection to the user PPE is designed to be resistant to the passage of any fluid or aerosol particle.
  • The materials will be procured from Certified Agencies having Unique Certified Codes printed on the inside of the Coveralls as advised to the government procurement agencies and private hospitals.
  • The users and procurement agencies will procure materials from the Certified Manufacturers only after verification of the Certificates on the web link provided on the website of the Ministry of Textiles.
  • Random samples will be collected periodically by the procurement agencies from the supplied lots of PPE Coverall and these samples will be tested from the nine approved laboratories.
