NRDC signs MoA with Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science

• National Research Development Corporation has entered into Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS),
• The MoA was signed for the commercialization of technologies/ intellectual properties developed at IACS. 
• The NRDC shall also provide its services in IP Evaluation/Valuation in terms of their commercial potential.
• The Chairman Managing Director of NRDC Dr. H. Purushotham and Director, IACS Professor Santanu Bhattacharya exchanged the Memorandum of Agreement.
• National Research Development Corporation (NRDC):
  • National Research Development Corporation is an Enterprise of Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology under Government of India.
  • It was established in New Delhi
  • NRDC has been working for more than six decades in development, promotion and commercialisation of technologies emanating from R&D organization and academia.
  • Till now, it has licensed technologies to more than 4800 entrepreneurs/ companies in the country in almost all sector of industry.
• Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS):
  • The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is an autonomous and oldest research institute in India.
  • It was established in Kolkata
  • The institute performs the fundamental research in the frontier areas of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Energy, Polymer, and Materials.
  • IACS nurtures young and innovative research fellows in their R&D programs in each field.
