  • Shri Ram Nath Kovind, President of India, launched the five-day Madhavpur Ghed Fair in Madhavpur Ghed, Porbandar, Gujarat.
  • NITI Aayog has launched the State Energy & Climate Index (SECI) Round I. The State Energy & Climate Index (SECI) Round I ranks states based on six parameters: (1) DISCOM performance, (2) energy access, affordability, and reliability, (3) clean energy initiatives, (4) energy efficiency, (5) environmental sustainability, and (6) new initiatives.
  • According to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Umiya Mata Temple, a religious monument in Gujarat's Junagadh, has become a focal point for social consciousness. He explained that the temple assists the community's underprivileged people by offering free health care and religious and social activities.
  • During the launch of the 'Vikas Siri Sampat-1111′ plan in Dharwad, Chairman P Gopi Krishna said that the 1,111-day deposit pays 5.70% interest to the general public and 6.20% to senior persons. A minimum deposit of ten thousand rupees and a maximum amount of two crore rupees are permitted under this scheme.

  • A team of scientists from the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), the Indian Army, and the Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully conducted a high-altitude flight test of the indigenously produced helicopter-launched Anti-Tank Guided Missile 'HELINA.'

  • The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has introduced India's first Polycentric Prosthetic Knee, which aims to improve the lives of thousands of amputees. 'Kadam,' a polycentric knee for above-knee prostheses developed in partnership with the Society for Biomedical Technology (SBMT) and Mobility India, is also a 'Made in India' product.

  • Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, an actor-screenwriter best known for his roles in the serials Mukti Bandhan and Meenakshi Sundareshwar, has died. He began his career as a screenwriter for the 1989 film Parinda, directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
