National Affairs: 

• Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) developed an Indian Standard for 'Non-electric cooling cabinet made of clay' (Mitticool Refrigerator)
• Karnataka's first wild orchidarium will come up in the Kali Tiger Reserve (KTR) of Uttara Kannada district.
• Recent research shows that newly developed ultrathin heteroprotein film is a better alternative to isolated protein films. 
•  Karnataka will be one of two States where the 'One Health' programme will be piloted, the other being Uttarakhand.  
• International Literature Festival began in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, on June 16th 2022.  
• National Monumental Authority (NMA) aims to organise a Rukmini Krishna Yatra between Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat on a large scale and promote it at the national level. 
• Kerala has topped the rankings among major States in the National e-services Delivery Assessment conducted by the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG). 
• Jammu and Kashmir has topped the rankings among Union Territories in the National e-services Delivery Assessment. 

International Affairs: 

• June 17th is observed as World Crocodile Day every year. 
• Parts of the Arctic region near Norway are warming at as much as seven times the rate of warming in the rest of the world, according to a study published on June 15th, 2022.
