PRADHAN MANTRI AWAS YOJANA-GRAMIN (PMAY-G)

Context:

The Ministry of Rural Development recently announced that under the PMAY-G, 92% target has been achieved in the first phase of the scheme.

Achievement:

• As per the Ministry of Rural Development, every one of the houses in the Permanent Wait List are to be finished before the finish of Amrit Mahotsav.
• An objective of  1 crore houses was set for completion in Phase I of the scheme. Of this, 92% of the objective has been finished. This was primarily conceivable due to the convenient arrival of assets needed for the scheme.
• In 2020-21, Rs 19,269 crores was made accessible as budgetary help. Later an extra budgetary help of Rs 20,000 centers was given. This is the most noteworthy spending designation to the scheme at whatever year since its launch.

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana:
