In a major reshuffle, President Ram Nath Kovind appointed new Governors to six states.

  • Uttar Pradesh - Anandiben Patel
  • Madhya Pradesh - Lalji Tandon
  • West Bengal - Jagdeep Dhankhar
  • Bihar - Fagu Chauhan
  • Tripura - Ramesh Bais
  • Nagaland – R. N. Ravi.

The Governor is appointed by the President as per Article 155 of the Constitution and holds office as long as he enjoys the confidence of the President.
