PRIME MINISTER (PM) HAS CHAIRED THE 33RD PRAGATI MEETING

Context

Prime Minister chaired the 33rd PRAGATI meeting.

Details

• Multiple projects of the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), and Power Ministry, grievances, and programmes were reviewed.
• These projects were related to ten states and union territories, including Maharashtra, Odisha, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Dadra, and Nagar Haveli. These had an overlay of a total cost of Rs.1.41 lakh crore.
• The grievances related to COVID-19 and to the PM Awas Yojana (Gramin) were taken up.
• PM SVANidhi, agriculture reforms, and development of districts as export hubs were reviewed.
• The States directed to develop a State Export Strategy.
