SAVOREAT STARTS SELLING PERSONALISED 3D-PRINTED BURGERS

Context:

On 28 December 2021, SavorEat, an Israeli food technology company introduced a plant-based burger system, that has been personalized to each customer.

Key Highlight:

• SavorEat has become one of the first companies to use 3D printing technology in food cooking.

SavorEat technology:

• SavorEat technology is being developed on the site of a self-contained 3D printer, which includes three cartridges containing oils and other ingredients.
• With this technology, customers can also choose how much fat and protein they want for each burger.
• The burger takes about six minutes to cook.
• These burgers are made from a combination of potatoes, chickpea and pea protein.
• In the first phase, burgers will be served on local burger chains.

Other cooperating companies:

• SavorEat also partnered with a food service firm called Yarzin Sela. 
• Yarzin Sela supplies Israeli high-tech companies.
• SavorEat has also signed an agreement with Sodexo to supply vegan burgers to US universities.

Background:

• The demand for alternative health care options & environmentally friendly consumers has increased in recent years. 
• Some protein initiatives have increased by approximately Rs. 22,418 crores by 2020 itself.
