Start Up India in Republic Parade

Start Up India in Republic Parade

The commerce and industry ministry on 21st January 2020 stated that it would showcase a tableau on Startup India. This aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the country, at the Republic Day Parade.

This would be with the theme 'Startups: Reach for the Sky'.

Key Points:

  • The tableau will showcase stages of the life-cycle of a startup and also the all-round support provided by the government.
  • The front of the tableau describes a creative mind, full of ideas to solve real-world problems.
  • The Startup India Tree, in the middle, will signify different kinds of support that are given.
  • The staircase will indicate stages of growth proving a concept, creating a prototype,  building a team, preparing a business plan, launching into markets and eventually scaling up.
  • The wheel represents sectors of the economy where Indian entities have driven economic growth and created employment opportunities on a large scale.
  •  A flagship initiative of the government-Startup India is intended to build a secure ecosystem to nurture innovation, drive sustainable economic growth and generate vast scale employment opportunities.

Objective:

  • To inspire and motivate youth to follow their dreams to generate wealth and become job creators’ not just job seekers.
