The first day of India International Science Festival (IISF) 2019 created the Guinness World Records for the largest astrophysics lesson, with a time duration of 45 minutes, and assembly of spectroscopes with the participation of over 1,598 students. The Inter-University Centre organised a session for Astronomy and Astrophysics. A memento was presented to the organisers on behalf of the Guinness Book of World Records.
Participants on the first-day session:
Students from many schools across India, who have a great interest in learning about the creation of the universe and the cosmic system, participated in the festival. The astrophysics session was dedicated to Dr C V Raman and Dr Meghnad Saha.
