TRANSFER TENURE OF CENTRAL VIGILANCE COMMISSION OFFICERS

Context:

According to new guidelines, in how many years Central Vigilance Commission officers will be transferred every 3 years from now onwards.

About:

  • The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has made changes in the guidelines related to the transfer and posting of officials in the vigilance units of government organisations, restricting their tenure to 3 years in one place.
  • The tenure can be extended to 3 more years, albeit at a different place of posting.
  • As per the CVC, unjustifiable long stay of an authority in a carefulness division had the capability of creating personal stakes, aside from leading to superfluous protests or claims.
  • This step has been taken In request to accentuate on the significance of the issue and to guarantee straightforwardness, objectivity and consistency in approach, the Commission has chosen to alter its previous rules..
  • The first phase of transfer/posting has to be finished by May 31. The activity of moving all the work force being referred to ought to be finished by June 30.
  • The order said after moving from the watchfulness unit, there would be an obligatory chilling time of three years before anybody could be rethought for posting in the unit.
