Water Efficiency Target: Gujarat Secured the Top Rank

The state of Gujarat has secured the top for parameters on efficiency targets in the review of state and Central government water departments set by the ministry of Jal Shakti.

Among the seven Central departments reviewed, the Survey of India tops the list followed by the National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) and Central Water Commission whereas the Central Pollution Control Board has got the lowest rank.

The departments are ranked on parameters:

  • Procurement,
  • Finance,
  • Real-time data acquisition system,
  • Data digitization,
  • Analytical work,
  • Training and
  • Updating MIS.
