World Metrology Day, 2022

World Metrology Day is annually observed across the globe on 20th May to create awareness about the Metrology, the science of measurement and its application. 

The theme for this year is: Metrology in the Digital Era.

• This day is an annual celebration of the signature of the Metre Convention on 20 May 1875 by representatives of seventeen nations. 
• This Convention set the framework for global collaboration in the science of measurement and in its industrial, commercial and societal applications.
