Application Process

Candidates are required to apply Online through Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti’s web-site at www.navodaya.gov.in and www.nvsrect2019.org No other means/mode of application will be accepted.

How to Apply: Step by Step Process

The step by step process for submitting the application form for the Recruitment for various posts on regular basis is given below:
Step-I: Sign-Up of Personal Details, and Contact details. Login Id and password will be sent to you through e-mail on registered e-Mail Id.
Step-II: Login to complete the Personal Details, Qualification Details, Declaration.
Step-III: The payment of Application Fee after 24 hours through Online mode via Debit card, Credit card or Internet banking through State Bank collect System of State Bank of India.

Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn and fee once paid will not be refunded in any case, neither shall be held reserved for any other recruitment nor selection process in future.

STEP-I: Sign-Up

a. Candidates agreeing the terms & conditions may apply by clicking 'I Agree' Checkbox given below and pressing the 'Start' button.

b. The candidate should fill up all the desired information i.e. Personal Details, Contact Detailsetc. correctly.

c. Sign-up by filling-up Post applied, Name of applicant, Mobile No. and E-mail ID. After clicking SUBMIT button/ tab, the candidates will receive Application Sequence No (User ID) & Password on their E-mail ID. Now, candidate has to Click “Log Out” tab (given on top right corner) and re-log in for Step-II. On completion of Step-I, Sign- Up mail will be received in candidate’s registered email id and mobile number confirming his singed-up along with the User ID (application sequence No.) and password.

STEP-II

d. After signed-up, candidate has to Re-login and Click on “Go To Application” tab for filling-up Personal Details, Qualification Details, Eligibility Details, and Upload photo/signature/left thumb impression and Declaration etc.

e. Instructions regarding scanning of Photograph and Signature : Candidates should upload the scanned (digital) image of their photograph and signature as per the process given below. The applicant should note that only Jpg/jpeg format is acceptable:

i. Photograph Image:

  • Photograph must be a recent passport size colour picture on light background (not older than 03 weeks)
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
  • The size of the scanned image should be upto 80 kb in jpg/ jpeg format only.

ii. Signature image:

  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black ink pen.
  • The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
  • Please scan the signature area only and not the entire page.
  • Size of file should be upto 80kb in Jpg/jpeg format only.

iii. Left Thumb Impression image

  • The left thumb impression must be left hand thumb only by the applicant and not by any other person 
  • Size of file should be upto 80kb in Jpg/jpeg format only.

STEP-III: On-line Fee Depositing process in State Bank of India (SBI) through SB Collect System

I. Candidate needs to re-login and click the link/tab “Make Online Payment” active after minimum 24 hours of submission of the application. Once SB Collect of State Bank of India portal is opened, then DO NOT click Refresh or Back Button.
After uploading Photo Signature and left thumb impression images, Click on “Pre-View” tab and check whether particulars filled are correct in all respects. In case of any error, the same can be edited before finally clicking “SUBMIT” tab. Once Submit Tab is clicked then Application will be submitted and It will be showing on screen “Your application has been successfully submitted”. In addition, sms/e-mail shall also be received by the candidate. If Fee applicable the payment of Application Fee tab “Make Payment” active after 24 hours submitted application form.

II. Steps to be followed in SB Collect portal for Online Payment:

  • System will redirect you on NVS Application Fee 2019 page of State Bank Collect Portal.
  • Kindly check & confirm the details shown on the screen i.e Application Seq No., Name, Mobile No, e-mail ID, post, category and amount, etc., then click on Submit/confirm Button.
  • Enter Application Sequence Number and Email ID. Then click on submit Button.
  • Select the Online Payment Option.
  • Kindly make the online payment via credit or debit card or Net banking and retain the transaction number for future reference.

III. Candidates are advised to keep with them the copy of the e-receipt as a token of remittance of fee for future reference.

IV. Candidates are advised not to attempt for registration more than once. In case of multiple registrations, the one with the highest registration number will be considered as a final application.

V. After depositing the application fee through online mode, you may check the status of application form after 2 days. In case the same is not reflecting, you can mail to Helpdesk mail id: navodayavidyalayahelpdesk@gmail.com Or or call Phone No .: 18002667074 with scanned copy of e-receipt about the same.

Selection Process

NVS MODE OF SELECTION

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in written examination and interview put together.

Note: However, in the case of Assistant and Computer Operator, the selection to the post will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the written examination only.

(i) Ex-Servicemen who has put in not less than six months continuous service in Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) shall be allowed to deduct the period of such service from his/her actual age and if the resultant age does not exceed maximum age limit prescribed for the post by more than three years, he / she shall be deemed to satisfy the condition regarding age limit. For group ‘B’ posts, the Ex-Servicemen & Commissioned Officers including ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years military service.

Note: All the concessions mentioned above will be concurrent i.e. if a person is eligible for more than one concession, only one of the concessions of the highest permissible limit, will be granted subject to maximum of age prescribed to enter in Government service i.e. 55 years of age.

 

Educational Qualification

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

A. FOR ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER (ADMINISTRATION) : (Post Code:01)

ESSENTIAL:
(i) Master’s Degree in Humanities / Science / Commerce from a recognized Institution /University
(ii) Persons holding analogous post or post of Principal in the Level -12 (Rs.78800-209200) in the Pay Matrix OR
With at least 5 years experience in the Level 10 (Rs.56100-177500) and above in the Educational Planning and Administration in any Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous Organization.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) Experience of working in a residential school system
(ii) Research work done in the field of education

B. FOR POST GRADUATE TEACHERS:(Post Code:02-12)

ESSENTIAL:

(a)Two Year Integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

(b) B.Ed Degree.
(c) Proficiency in Teaching in Hindi and English medium.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
(a) Experience as TGT in the recognized institution in concerned subject.
(b) Experience of working in a residential school.
(c) Knowledge of Computer application.

 

FOR TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
(A) Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate.
Or
Bachelors Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in concerned subject/combination of subjects and also in aggregate. Candidate should have studied requisite subject(s) for at least 2 years in the 03 years degree course
Or
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/combination of subjects and also in aggregate. The candidate should have studied
the requisite subjects in all three years of degree course.
Note : Post wise elective subjects and Languages in the combination of subjects are as
under: :
a) For TGT (Hindi) : Hindi as a subject in all the three years of Degree course.
b) For TGT (English): English as a subject in all the three years of Degree course.
c) For TGT (Maths) -
(i) Bachelor Degree in Maths along with Physics and any one of the following subjects:Chemistry, Electronics, Computer Science, Statistics.
(ii) In case of such Universities which provide for only two subjects out of the six as mentioned above in the final year of graduation, the candidate should have studied Maths and Physics in the final year of examination and three subjects, viz, Maths, Physics and Chemistry / Electronics / Computer Science / Statistics in the first and second years of graduation.
(iii) Candidates who have passed B.Sc. degree with Honours in Maths subject would be considered eligible only if they have studied Physics and Chemistry / Electronics / Computer Science / Statistics in first and second year of the course. Candidates with B.Sc.(Hons.) in Physics or Chemistry are not eligible for the post of TGT (Maths).
d) For TGT (Science)- Botany, Zoology and Chemistry.
(i) The candidate should have studied Botany, Zoology and Chemistry during all the three years of study in graduation.
(ii) In case of such Universities which provide for only two subjects in the final year of graduation, the candidates should have studied any of the two subjects out of Botany, Zoology and Chemistry in the final year of examination and all the three subjects, viz. Botany, Zoology and Chemistry in the first and second years of graduation.
(iii) In case of Honours Degree in any of the above mentioned three subjects, the candidate must have studied other two subjects in the first and second year of the course.

e) For TGT (Social Studies):
(i) The candidate should have studied any of the two subjects out of the following subject combination at graduation level:
(a) History with Geography/ Economics/ Political Science OR
(b) Geography with History/ Economics/ Political Science (in other words candidates should have studied any two subjects out of History, Geography, Economics and Political Science, in which one must be either History or Geography)
(ii) History/Geography as above should have been studied for all three years in the Graduation.
(iii) In case of Honours Degree in History the candidate should have studied Geography/Economics/Political Science in 1st and 2nd years. Similarly in case of Honours
degree in Geography, the candidate should have studied History/Economics/Political Science in 1st and 2nd year. Candidates with B.A.(Honours) in Economics or Political Science are not eligible for the post of TGT (S.St.)
(B) Passed the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by CBSE in accordance with the guidelines framed by the NCTE, for the purpose.
(C) B.Ed. Degree
(D) Competence to teach through English and Hindi / concerned Regional Language as the case may be.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
(a) Experience of working in a residential school.
(b) Knowledge of Computer application.

 

E. LEGAL ASSISTANT: (Post Code:23)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
Degree in Law from a recognized University.
DESIRABLE:
Three years experience of handling legal cases.

 

F. FEMALE STAFF NURSE: (Post Code:24)

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
a) Passed Sr. Secondary Examination (Class XII) or equivalent and
b) Grade ‘A’(Three years) Diploma/Certificate in Nursing from recognized Institution.
OR
B.Sc(Nursing) from a recognised University/ Institution.
2. Registration with Indian/ State Nursing Council.
3. Practical experience of two years in Hospital/Clinic.
Desirable :
Working Knowledge of Hindi/Regional Language and English.


G. CATERING ASSISTANT (Post Code:25)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Secondary School (X class pass) and
2. Three Years Diploma in Catering or equivalent from an Institution recognized by Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India/State Govt.
OR
Passed Sr. Secondary (Class XII) from CBSE with Hotel Management and Catering as Vocational Subject and at least one year experience in catering.

OR
Passed Sr.Secondary (Class XII) or equivalent and one year diploma in catering or equivalent from a recognized institution with three years experience in catering in reputed institution/hotels.
OR
Trade proficiency Certificate in Catering with a minimum of 10 years of service in Defence Services of regular establishment (for Ex-Servicemen only).


H. LOWER DIVISION CLERK: (Post Code:26)
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Senior Secondary (Class XII) certificate from a recognized Board with 50% marks and possessing minimum speed of 30 words per minutes in English typing or 25 words per minutes in Hindi typing correspond to 10500 KDPH as on average of 5 key depressions for each word.
OR
Passed +2 level or Senior Secondary Certificate from CBSE/State Govt. With Secretarial Practices and Office Management as Vocational Subjects.
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of computer operation and data entry acquired either as a subject at +2 level or through 6 months diploma in computer from a recognized institution or through computer literacy certificate at school level.
2. Experience in accounts / administrative matters in Govt. / Semi Govt. / Autonomous organization.
Note:
1. Preference will be given to candidates having passed +2 from CBSE with secretarial practices and office management as vocational subjects.
2. The appointing authority shall decide each time depending upon the requirement whether the typing speed should be in English or Hindi.
