Application Process

The application form for RPF Constable (Ancillary) recruitment will be accepted through Online mode. The last date to apply online is 30th Jan 2019.

Eligible candidates may apply online at RPF's website (direct link is given below) from 01 Jan 2019 10:00 AM to 30 Jan 2019 till 11:59 PM.

Steps To Apply Online:
  1. Before applying to Online Applicants have valid email & Scanned copies of photo, signature.
  2. Candidates log on to
  3. Go to "Current Openings" & Select the desired post.
  4. Read the information carefully & Click on "Apply Online".
  5. Click on “Click here for New Registration”, if you are a new user.
  6. Complete the Registration & Click on “Submit”.
  7. After Registration, Log in with Registered Number & Password.
  8. Fill the all details in the application & upload Photo, Signature.
  9. Application fee should be paid through Online & then Submit the Form.
  10. Take a print out of Online application for future.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for all posts under RPF Constable Ancillary will be constituted of 2 factors, Age Limit, and Educational Qualification along with the selection procedure. Let us start with the age limit factor.

Age Limit

The age of candidate shall be between 18-25 yr. Date of birth of candidates should be between the dates given below : (Both dates inclusive)

Educational Qualification

Candidates should possess SSLC/ Matric from the recognized board.


General Awareness: Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society; to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observations and experiences as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Indian History, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science etc.

Arithmetic: Questions on Number systems, whole numbers, decimal and fractions and the relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, use of table and graphs, mensuration, time and distances, ratio and proportion etc.

General Intelligence & Reasoning: Questions on analogies, similarities and difference, spatial visualization, special orientation, problem solving analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc.

  • The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
  • There will be 60 Questions/ Marks. Each Question Will be of 01 Mark.
  • The question paper will consist of General Awareness (20 Marks), Arithmetic(20 Marks), General Intelligence & Reasoning (20 Marks).
  • The time duration will be 45 minutes.
  • There Will be a Negative Marking of 1/3 Marks.
  • The Standard of Examination Will be 10th/ Matric Level.

Phase 2: PET

All Candidates Qualifying CBT Will be Called for PET & PMT. PET/PMT is qualifying in nature. No marks are to be awarded.

  • For 800 meters event, only one chance will be given. For the Remaining events viz Long Jump & High Jump, the candidates will be given up to 2 chances each.
  • Ex-Serviceman shall be exempted from PET. However, they will have to undergo PMT.

Phase 3: Trade Test

Trade Tests
Water Carrier (a) Washing & Cleaning of vessels (b) keading of Atta and making Chapatis, Cutting of vegetables, and (c) Any one of the Following Cooking: Rice/Vegetable/Dal/Sambhar/Meat/Fish/Kheer.
Sweeper Cleaning of septic tank, Sweeping Cleaning of toilets, Cleaning of Bathrooms, Mopping floor, etc.
Washer Man Washing, Folding & Ironing of Clothes.
Barber Handing of Tools, Hair Cutting & Shaving
Mali Any Two of the Following: (i) Transplantation (ii) Making Graft, (iii)Maintenance of Plants, knowledge of seeds and their sowing season, fertilizers and indigenous manures.
Tailor Any Two of the Following: (i) Taking Measurement and stitching of Shorts (ii) Capability to carry out minor repairs, maintenance & trouble shooting of sewing machine (iii) Knowledge of tools/machines used in cutting, tailoring etc.
Cobbler Knowledge of shoe repair, shoe polishing, punching neat holes in leather.


Phase 4: Document Verification

All the Selected Candidates Will be Called for the DV.
