SSC CGL examination is  conducted every year for the various posts in different departments across India. Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Graduate Level Examination every year for the recruitment of Various Group B and Group C post in various Ministries/Departments/Organizations. Subject to administrative / public exigencies, final selection through the Combined Graduate Level Examination to specific categories of posts would be subject to receipt of intimation of confirmed number of vacancies from the concerned Indenting Ministries/ Department/Office/Cadres before the declaration of results.

SSC CGL Introduction

SSC CGL - How to give Post Preference?

The Post preference is one of the most Important portion of application the form. As the final allocation is completely dependant on this portion of the form. Most of the aspirants find it difficult to give the correct post preference. Recommended pattern of Post preference is mentioned below:

3. Educational Qualification:

A. For Assistant Audit Officer

I. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institute is essential.
II. Desirable Qualification: Chartered Accountant /Cost & Management Accountant/ Company Secretary/ Masters in Commerce /Masters in Business Studies/ Masters in Business Administration.

B. For Statistical Investigator Grade – II

I. Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12thstandard level
OR
II. Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

C. For Compiler -

Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.

D. For Remaining Post -

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institute is essential.

SSC CGL Selection Procedure

The SSC CGL Selection Procedure consists of below mentioned Stages:

Tier-I – Online Objective Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier-II -- Online Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
Tier III – Descriptive Test (Pen Paper based)
Tier-IV -- Personality Test /Interview or Skill Test, where applicable
