Sub Inspector::

The post carries pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 and is classified as Group ‘C’ by Delhi Police.

Sub-Inspector in CAPFs:

The post carries pay scale of Rs 9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200 and is classified as Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF:

The post carries pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- and is classified as Group ‘C’

SSC CPO Introduction

Staff Selection Commission conducts Combined Police Officer Examination every year for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector in various Armed Forces/Departments/Organizations. Subject to administrative/public exigencies, final selection through the Combined  Examination to specific categories of posts would be subject to receipt of intimation of confirmed number of vacancies from the concerned Indenting various Armed Forces/Departments/Organizations before declaration of results.

SSC CPO Examination is conducted Every Year for the Recruitment of Sub Inspector posts under various central departments. As soon as the notification is out candidate can apply visiting the official website -

SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria: Citizenship, Age Limit, Educational Qualification

1. Citizenship: Candidate should be a citizen of India

2. Age Limit: Candidates age should be between 20- 25 Years of age.

Note: The age should be qualifying as on 01-08-2016. Age relaxation is applicable as per the rules for every category will be applicable.

3. Educational Qualification:

A. For Assistant Audit Officer –

I. Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institute is essential.
II. Desirable Qualification: Chartered Accountant /Cost & Management Accountant/ Company Secretary/ Masters in Commerce /Masters in Business Studies/ Masters in Business Administration.

B. For Statistical Investigator Grade – II –

I. Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% in Mathematics at 12thstandard level 
II. Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

C. For Compiler -

Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with Economics or Statistics or Mathematics as compulsory or Elective subject.

D. For Remaining Post -

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized Institute is essential.

SSC CPO SI Selection Procedure

The SSC CPO Selection Procedure consists of below-mentioned Stages:

  • Tier-I – Online Objective Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
  • Physical Test
  • Tier-II -- Online Examination (Objective Multiple Choice Type)
